DevLog#9 - Back to work


Happy Easter! We are back from our holidays and brought some new assets and features. This week our third Sprint ends, which means from now on it’s only polishing.


 Programming

Our programmers implemented two new features into the game. The first one allows that the babies can help each other to escape from the playpen. If a baby is in the playpen, another baby just has to stand long enough in front of the playpen to rescue his brother (or sister). Of course, without getting caught by the mother himself. The second action is to generate more chaos. Babies can throw around dishes, which the mom have to catch them. For every plate that is not caught the chaosbar raise.


 

Art

A lot of assets are modelled and textured. Our environment will be more aesthetic with a new table and playpen, but also new items for the babies to slaughter themselves are available, like the blender.


After some problems we also finished the rig for the baby and started animating. 


First only the Idle animation, which will be played if the player doesn't move or press any buttons, but more will follow.



Tasks for next week

  • Creating all animations for the baby and implement them
  • Finish started assets
  • Polish light in scene
